Laura Mercier's Speak Out for Hope Launch

Laura Mercier announces the launch of its  Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund, which raises awareness and funds research and educational efforts that will help diagnose, treat and support women with ovarian cancer. Please visit their Fund's website. It is one of the best beauty product's philanthropy sites I've seen. Most important, the message is about ovarian cancer and the information they share is very valuable. Then, they support their mission with their cause marketing campaign, Speak to Hope.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of death among women in the United Sates and since September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, it is the perfect time for the launch of the Fund. Laura Mercier will donate 100% of the profits from the sale of the Bonne Mine palette and the Rose Hope Lip GlacĂ© to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund. These two beauty products will be available at all Laura Mercier retail stores.

The Bonne Mine palette retails for ($48) and the Rose Hope Lip Glace sells for ($24). Shop for a hope at the Laura Mercier online store.

Clinique Kicks-off Kiss It Better for a Good Cause

Where have I been? Well, not under a rock! Rather, I've been working on several charity events, giving talks on "Building Better Brand-Charity Relationships," working with a few new brand clients, and recently launched my new Run for Causes (TM) program which I am tickled pink about...I work with charities who either have their own 5K run or want to raise money in other 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathons and full marathons. It has taken off like wild fire, and as a veteran long distance runner since the age of 11, I am excited to help charities raise $$$, expand their network, and get their miles in all at the same time. Check it out at Run for Causes.

Look what I found, a beauty brand that’s giving back to a good cause. Clinique, a brand of Estee Lauder, has launched their new Kiss It Better gift set. This lovely silver-shiny makeup bag includes their best selling lip products. They are donating 50% of all sales during the month of February to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

Look Good, Feel Good & Do Good!

If I have a choice among beauty products, I will always select the one that is not only best but is also cause-minded. If you are going to spend money on looking good and feeling good, you might as well DO GOOD at the same time. That is what I call a Triple Bottom Line. A bit of stretch from CSR but hey, I am a woman and only spend my hard earned dollars on things that make me feel fabulous.
Here are few summer finds bound to not only make you feel fabulous, but your purchase goes to support good causes. Killing two birds with one stone is a smart way to making this world a better place.

Chantecaille Les Dauphins Eyeshadow Palette - 5% of the proceeds benefit Italy's Tethys Research Institute, which supports marine conservation.

CoverGirl Clean Makeup - CoverGirl is providing fresh water through the Children's Safe Drinking Water Program. I have a previous blogpost on this campaign which is really wonderful.

MAC Viva Glam Tinted Lipstick & Lipgloss - every penny raised goes to the MAC AIDS Fund to support the fight against HIV/AIDS. MAC is my favorite beauty product line. I only buy MAC or CoverGirl.

"Rock The Cure" Lip Gloss - All profits support City of Hope, cancer treatment center in Los Angeles.

Philosophy 'Inner Grace' Charity Shower Gel - 100% of Philosophy's gross profit from the sale of inner grace support the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
Enjoy this summer looking good, feeling good and doing good in the midst of it all.

Good Cause to Wear Elizabeth Arden's Anniverary Lipstick

To commenorate 100 years in the beauty industry, Elizabeth Arden is celebrating with the launch of the new Limited Edition Anniversary Lipstick, Red Door Red.

I love when beauty companies create beautiful products that benefit causes. Red Door Red, a universally flattering, sheer red lipstick, packaged in a luxurious gold case reminiscent of the glamour and drama of the 1940s, is meant to represent strength and femininity is also benefiting a good cause. Elizabeth Arden will also donate all of the proceeds from the lipstick to Look Good … Feel Better®. This organization helps to improve the self-image, appearance and quality of life for people undergoing cancer treatments by teaching beauty techniques, which help them to cope with the beauty-related consequences of cancer and boost their self-confidence.

When you purchase the Elizabeth Arden Limited Edition Anniversary, Red Door Red Lipstick, you’ll take part in celebrating Elizabeth Arden's 100 years of beauty and you’ll be helping women to look good, feel better and enjoy life.- and that's a beautiful thing!
